Care for your lounge suite

Keep covering materials clean.
Dust settles on lounge furniture just as it settles on cabinet furniture. Light vacuuming is advised.

Cleaning and removing stains.
Use a damp white cloth. Should a spill or stain not come out, consult an upholstery specialist. We can accept no responsibility for unsuccessful cleaning attempts. Show-wood surfaces require no polishes or sprays, they simply need to be wiped with a damp cloth. Do not apply patent cleaners to the surface to leather or leather cloth.

Crushed or flattened material pile.
If high-pile materials become flattened on pressure areas, steam from a boiling kettle will raise the crushed pile.

Sharp objects. Be careful to avoid the snagging of threads with sharp objects. However, if one of the loops has broken do not pull in further: cut it off as short as possible.

Sunlight.
The climate conditions on South Africa are severe, and even strong, indirect light can cause fading and perishing of fabrics and leathers. Lighter shades of leather are more susceptible to fading than darker shades. It is recommended that chairs and settees are rotated around the room from time to time to minimise exposure to sunlight.

Foam hardness.
After a period of use, the foam in the seat cushions are be expected to soften by +20% of its original harness ... enjoy the relaxed softness.

Fibre-filled cushions.
If you lounge suite has fibre-filled back and/or arm cushions, please fluff them up from time to time to make them look good and puffy again.
